Goodbye, June.

Time went by so fast. We got to do so many things, and got to accomplish so much. We were so productive, and yet it was also a month of careful selection and artfully saying “no”.

I’ve obviously been putting off writing this entry, just cause I feel like there wasn’t anything significant to write about. However, I came across this quote —

Just because you’re capable of something, doesn’t mean you should do it.

Capability and capacity are two different things.

-Daniell Koepke

And it couldn't have resonated with me more.

I’m proud of myself for turning down projects and opportunities, and not making myself feel guilty about it. I’m proud of myself for also prioritizing other important aspects such as rest and leisure.

I realize now the stark difference between capability and capacity in a sense that, deciding not to do certain things does not make me lazy. It’s really is important to honor my limits, and to be gentle with myself — human as i am.

I don’t have to always try to chase after the next big thing, or the level upper. It’s okay to just keep my pace, and maintain whatever I’m doing. It is enough. It is enough.

And I thank the universe for such a beautiful lesson to have learned.
