It’s been a year since the spike of the Corona virus, and forced cities into lock-downs. Only, it’s still so hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel for this country. So no grand realization this month, as I’ve been mainly keeping occupied on self-improvement.

Just allow me to share some things I genuinely miss, for now.

I miss watching movies in cinemas — with friends, on a date or by myself. The popcorn that’s half-finished before the movie actually starts. And bowling dates — I’m no pro, but I can hit a strike here and there. I like a good show-down.

I miss exhausting a good outfit on a good day. I love being able to strut it to different places and events. Speaking of places and events, I miss planning trips and getting to travel spontaneously without fear of contracting a deadly viral infection.

I miss the old-normal, really. I don’t particularly like this new normal. It’s so easy to take things for granted. Part of me still hopes things will go back to how they once were, but if I were to face the harsh reality, it wont. The government system here isn’t that much of a help either.

So, I guess that’s first quarter of the year done. Curious to see what the next four weeks will bring in — no set goals, no expectations. Just living in the moment, day by day.
